Avoid an extra database round trip with PostgreSQL on DX Cloud
On DX Cloud, a content read that misses the Jackrabbit caches can cost an extra database round trip. Avoid an extra database round trip with PostgreSQL explains the JVM parameter, when to set it, and when it has no effect.
For DX Cloud, set it in your project’s values.yml file.
Set the parameter in Helm
Add the parameter under catalinaExtraEnv in your project’s values.yml. Add the key beside any entries already there.
- Set it for the author and public instances.
magnoliaAuthor:
catalinaExtraEnv:
org.apache.jackrabbit.core.util.db.driver.datasource.poolPreparedStatements: "false" <1>
magnoliaPublic:
catalinaExtraEnv:
org.apache.jackrabbit.core.util.db.driver.datasource.poolPreparedStatements: "false" <1>
Turns statement pooling off. Quote the value so Helm passes the string false.
- Deploy the change. The instances restart with the parameter.
- To undo it, remove the keys and deploy again.
