Notification channels

Define the channels you want your Cockpit notifications to be sent to.

• Emails: You can add one or more email addresses to receive notifications. On an email channel, each address is a row. Add email adds a row, and you can remove a row you no longer want.
• Slack: You can add specific Slack channels to receive notifications.
• Teams: You can add specific Teams channels to receive notifications.

Test a channel

After you add a channel, open the row menu and choose Test. Cockpit sends a test message to that email address, Slack channel, or Teams channel so you can confirm it receives notifications before you rely on it for alerts. A success notice says Test notification sent.
